Duerr’s holds Marma Mia ball in aid of national children’s charity, Place2Be

Evel Knievel was joined by Elvis, Saturday Night Fever and the stars of ABBA at Duerr’s charity ball held on 17^th November 2012 . The theme for the annual event held by the jam makers was Marma Mia and partygoers got into the spirit by donning their favourite 70s costumes to raise money for a cause close to the company’s heart.

Guests were welcomed with a champagne – and Tequila Sunrise – reception, a retro-themed three course meal complete with 70s favourite, mint matchsticks and an auction packed filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences including VIP tickets to X Factor final.

The ball, held at The Point, raised £25,000 for Place2Be. The money will go towards the cost of providing essential in-school counselling services to vulnerable children nationwide.

Duerr’s has now raised more than £525,000 for charities since 2000.
