We’ve officially launched our You Buy, We Donate campaign to help stop the spread of hunger across the country.

Being a family-run business, supporting our communities in whatever way we can has always been part of our core business values, and now it’s time to give our support on a national scale. We’ve teamed up with national charity FareShare to donate our products to vulnerable people in local communities who really need it.

Our ambition is to donate 1 million breakfast portions to people in the UK and to do this we need your support.

For every jar of our Thick Cut or Fine Cut Marmalade sold, we will donate a single serve breakfast portion to FareShare who will redistribute it between their 24 Regional Centres across the country to make sure it reaches the people in local communities who need it most.

We know the importance of a good breakfast and we want to do what we can to provide it.

Did you know?

8.4 million people in the UK are struggling to afford to eat. This is equivalent to the entire population of London.

4.7 million of these people live in severely food insecure homes. This means that their food intake is greatly reduced and children regularly experience physical sensations of hunger.

How can I help?

Simply head to your local Sainsbury’s or Morrisons store and purchase a jar of Duerr’s Thick Cut or Fine Cut Marmalade and we’ll do the rest.

Our jars of marmalade are on shelves across the country – keep an eye out for them!

“FareShare works with hundreds of breakfast clubs, food banks and community centres across the country to get food onto the plates of those who are most vulnerable. With millions of families struggling to eat because of the pandemic, we are very grateful for Duerr’s support and generous donation at this critical time.”

Alyson Walsh, Commercial Director at FareShare UK.

“Times are tougher than ever at the moment and no one should have to go hungry. We want to do what we can to help stop the spread of hunger in the UK by working with FareShare and the amazing work that they do. Together we can make a difference.”
